The growing smoothie firm, RDA Organics, donated a prize to Sophie and her family. Sophie was entered into a prize draw after sponsoring the Vegan Coast to Coast Walk, and was delighted to be offered free smoothies for her 2 kids and their class mates for 3 days - that's 60 smoothies a day! The kids at school have been buzzing about them ever since.

Cafe Iguana is no more

Cafe Iguana will not reopen. The fate of bar Iguana (which was never particularly veggie) is unknown. The premises are being fitted out as a shop. The cafe was not great as it was overpriced and badly run, but it was friendly and it was veggie! So we are sad to see it go. It did a good trade despite such bad reviews and high prices, which goes to show that there's a strong market for a veggie cafe in Reading.
