If you want vegan food you must give them a little notice beforehand (preferably 24 hours). But your planning will be well rewarded. We were impressed.

The standard menu is unlikely to have anything truly vegetarian. Do not assume that the cheese is vegetarian - ask first.

Cathy 2006-08-06 14:06:52Have been here twice as the only vegan in a family party. Each time, after ringing a few days beforehand, I was offered a CHOICE of two starters and two mains, pretty good I thought as there is nothing vegan on the menu apart from I think an aubergine dish. Each time I chose a big plateful of yummy vegetable tempura with chilli sauce. So definitely thumbs up to the Bull. But when will chefs learn to make vegan puddings? Oh well, there's always lemon sorbet…
